I recently bought a 2001 Infiniti I30 from a dealer that sells all
makes of cars.  The transmitters that came with it have NO buttons and
have an FCC ID of IDIKF100.  As far as I can tell these transmitters do
nothing.  I thought maybe it transmitted some frequency that would
automatically unlock the doors or trunk when you got close to the
car....nope.

I just purchased a new remote specifically for that car and followed
the instructions several times with no success.  I pulled the key in
and out about 25 times and nothing happened.  I know if I go to an
infiniti dealer they will charge me a fortune just for information.
Can anyone here help me?

On my 95 Maxima,

I lock the doors.

I push the key in and pull it out, about 6 times, never completely
withdrawing, but always inserting all the way, cause that's a manly thing to
do. ;-)

The lights flash.

I turn on accessories.

I press the lock button on the fob.

The lights flash.

I unlock and open the door.

I close and lock the door.

The fob now works.
