Greetings. this is the first time I have visited this group, and I
apologize in advance if I am asking a question that has been asked to
death.

I must replace the front Oxygen Sensor in the 97 Maxima. The top part
is a snap (litterally),

but how the devil do you get the bloody sensor out of the manifold?
I cant get a tool on it!

Obviously I am overlooking something, or there is a specialty tool
that costs more than the sensor.

Can anyone answer my question?

TIA..jb

If you don't get an answer here go to maxima.org where there are
answers to just about every question.

There is a special o2 sensor socket.  I can't recall if I used it for
that location (I changed all o2 sensors together and don't remember the
details) and you haven't elaborated on what tool you've tried
unsuccessfully.

It's only a $14 tool at any parts store and it might be exactly what you
need.  Much less than the cost of a sensor.
