I own a 98 maxima gxe.When I start the engine,it idles above
1000RPM.When I start driving ,the car does well until it hits
30MPH,but after that, any more throttle seems to increase the RPM to
4000RPM,but the speed really doesnt change much.It stays like that
with RPM reaching very high values.

Please advise and thanks for your time.

Yes the "Check Engine" light is on.Should I get a transmission flush
or would it be that the transmission be replaced.

Thank you

Why not read the codes first and see what is actually causing the problem?

You need to get the codes read. You're just guessing and wasting money
until you do.
