What is up with the forums?  Can you guys (and gals) get to them?  I just
get a junk page.  Thanks.

Quoted from www.maxima.org on 23MAR04:

"Please bare with us while we upgrade our http server to better server our
members.  Thank you! :)"

Finally, another, upgrade.  Anyone have an ETR?

No date to offer, but the main page has said that for weeks.  Truly
pathetic.

Skip that first page and go right to this one:
http://www.maxima.org/forums/. The forums are still up and active.

Is the search function working yet?  I am a donating member, and the
half-dozen times I've tried in the last 4 months has left me locked out.

The search is still down I believe. I just joined and am not a donating
member, yet, but I've seen a few postings about donating members complaining
about the search.

It's really lame to not be able to research basic subjects.  Like 'starter
relay', for example.  They complain about all the traffic, yet none of my
traffic would be there if the search worked.  There is a tremendous amount
lost in there until it's working again.

Save the following link in your favorite links:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=XXXXXXXXXXXXXX&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-web-t&vst=0&v
s=forums.maxima.org

Then, when you need to do a search, just replace the "XXXXXXXXXX" with
your search topic.

It's the "poor man's search"

Just FYI, Maxima.org has not been accepting donations since Dec/03 and
do not know when they will start again.  The search function for the
most recent donating members has been backlogged for activation.  They
just don't have time (for either).
