Hello,
I drive a 97 Maxima SE the just hit 100k mile this week.
I now notice the service engine soon light stays on. The car runs just fine.
And I had a tune up service a couple of month ago.
There have been times I've drove vehicles with over 100k miles and their
service lights
were lit.
Q: Are car makers doing this on purpose?
Q2: How do I reset the diagnostic computer under the shift column?
Please help.
Thanx

These cars do not flip CELs at any preset mileages. Get it checked out.

Agreed. You need to atleast take it to Autozone and have them run a
Diagnostics on it so you can get the Diag Code. Then visit Maxima.org and
head to the forums to find out what the code means. I have never had my Max
flip a CEL for no reason.
