I have a '71z that I am rejuvenating. I really don't care for the drip
rails. My friend says that if I grind them off I would ruin the character
of the car. I think it would be an improvement.

I would like further input from the Z community.

I'll probably never drive in the rain anyway. Has anyone done/seen this.
Pics would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

if you ask a question like that here all they will do is make a big stink.
don't even bother with newsgroups. they are really dumb introverted people.

ask around on Zforums. they are more in the public and normal.
really. do a search on them.

Dumb introverted people usually answer before everyone else and injects
thier opinion without a thought of themselves being correct or otherwise. An
example of this would be something like, "if you ask a question like that
here all they will do is make a big stink.don't even bother with newsgroups.
they are really dumb introverted people.

That said, I knew someone who did exactly that with the rails. Not bad, not
good. Just different. It's a matter of taste. I will take some pics and
email them to you. Give me a day or two. I personally think it's a 50/50
'improvement'.

Depends on what else you do. If you "cleaned up" the whole car it might look
cool. If this was the only thing you did, it might end up looking like a
person with no eye brows. Also might cause wind noise as well as the
obvious water leaking problems, the door seals on those cars suck at best.
