I'm getting an intermittent code 1104 (alt trans 2nd signal) on a 1996 2+2
with about 86K miles. I already had the solenoid pack replaced once. It
seems like maybe its coming on just when I brake hard, but I'm still trying
to verify the exact conditions. I ran the auto trans self diagnostic and it
passed.

Anyone knowledgeable care to guess at a cause?

Does anyone know what triggers that signal? Is it possible it's an
electrical connection problem?

On a semi related note, is it physically possible to put a 5 speed in a car
that was made with auto? That's the one thing I miss in this car. I used to
have a '91 with 5 speed.
