I need to remove my alternator.  I have removed the plastic pan below and
have a quick look at its location.  It is in tight spot.  I see that I
should remove plastic around the rad, cooling fan and clutch.  I have read
other posting and someone said It can be removed without drainning the
coolant.  Other said, you must disconnect the rad hose.  So the question is,
do I need to disconnect my cooling hose?   What would Nissan dealer do for
this job?  Does anyone know?

Yep.

No. Makes it easier to disconnect the alternator sub harness at the fender
and pull it off with the alternator rather than trying to deal with the
wiring connectors on the back of the alternator itself when it's on the
car.

better to remove rad hoses 15 mins will save you hours of hard work. save
all the fuild and use it again. i think i would replace all the belts if
they have not been replaced in a while. also its alot cheaper if you go to
a starter & alt. shop to get your alt. worked on or replaced.
