Power Steering Fluid

My 1994 Z maintenance manual says to use DEXRON II power steering
fluid. I checked at my local Autozone, and DEXRON II which is now
DEXRON III, is automatic transmission fluid. Can that be right? Are
they recommending Automatic Transmission fluid in the power steering
pump? All of the power steering fluid brands I looked at say something
like "GM and Chrysler specification and many foreign manufacturers.

Any recommendations?

Yep, use dextron.
