300XZ oil type for manual

What grade of oil for manual transmission.  I put in 75W90 in my 1987 300ZX
and now it is leaking at the output shaft seal to drive shaft.  wrong oil?
or because synthetic is so good that it leaks everywhere?

Because it's a 20 year old seal..
