I have found a used complete exhaust system from a 1986 turbo.  My friend
and I try to see if we can use these parts on our 300ZX.

We would like to know if the down pipe and the cat from a turbo model will
fit a non turbo model?
I have 1987 model, will it fit mine?

Down pipe, not even close to the same. The converter probably will fit but
not 100% sure it will.

Understand that the bottom end like the rods and mains are different on
a turbo engine and if you are going to turbocharge a normally asperated
engine you stand to blow the rods out of the engine.  Also, the pistons
are forged in a turbo application as opposed to a normally asperated,
cast piston, version.  Just make sure that the engine will take the
extra boost...

Thanks Steve.  I guess I may be able to use the catalytic converter and the
rest but not the front.

I meant the rest of the exhaust system should fit mine 1987 from the
catalytic converter back.  My friend want to buy front down pipe and cat for
hit 1986 non-turbo model and I need the muffler.
