I have a friend that has a 81 280Z with 20,000 original miles on it.
He has owned it since it was new and the car (to my knowledge) is
spotless.

I know he wants to sell it, but was asking 9000.

Is it worth that?!

Thanks

Seems pretty steep to me.

Oh yeah definitely.  If you buy a well used one with re-painted body, you
still have to paid around 5 to 6 k.  This car probably has original paint,
motor and condition should be original.  The most you need for this mileage
would be tires.  I would go for it (may be around 7 to 8 k)

Well worth it. Trying to get a old beat up $1500 280ZX into the condition a
20,000 mile car is in would probably end up costing $20,000. If you want a
nice Z car, you are WAY better off spending the money up front buying the
cleanest, lowest milage car you can afford rather than trying to "restore"
a cheaper one. A good quality paint job is going to cost $2500 just by
itself!
