A 215/75/r14 was optional from the factory. However, Michelin makes an
LTX M/S, which is a light-truck tire in a size 205/75/r14. It's offroad
performance is fair, I would say. Searching through Tire Rack (dot
com), there just isn't much else available for 14" rims.
An alternative is to go to the junk, er, I mean reclamation yard, and
buy a set of Hardbody 4x4 or Pathfinder SE wheels, and I mean the
alloys, not the chromed steel. Those wheels came from the factory with
tires sized 31 x 10.5 x 15. You'll have a slight clearance problem
during sharp turns when the front suspension gets compressed, but the
rear should be fine. And you'll have all kinds of tire options for
those wheels. Be sure to check the bolt patterns before you buy,
because I cannot remember if those wheels will bolt right up to your
2wd. They should be readily available and inexpensive, because Nissan
sold them on 4x4 trucks and PFs in the US from 1987 until 1996.

My truck has a 6-bolt hub, which is the same as the 4x4, but I guess
the distance between the bolts might differ.
I've found some 215/75R14 Kumho Road Venture AT tires that will do the
trick - and you say that was an option from the factory? That means
that they should fit no problem!
Thanks for your help.
