96 Sentra GXE, airbag light keeps flashing

i was once trying to start my car when i had a faulty starter. i just kept
trying to start the car by turning the key back and forth to the on
position but when i finally got it to crank over i noticed that the airbag
light was flashing. what did i do, what does it mean? and how do i turn the
light off? i'm trying to sell the car,but i can't sell it with flashing
lights on the dash.

it may be wise to take it to the dealer and have it checked out, air bags
are nothing to mess with if you dont know what your doing, if its flashing
then there is likely a problem somewhere
