I have a 2001 Sentra SE with Automatic Transmission.  I am in Texas.

The car has almost 60,000 miles on it.  I want to replace the
transmission fluid.

Is it OK to do partial replacement by draining with the (drain) bolt?

If I am going to do a partial replacement, is it OK to use the Mobil 1
Synthetic ATF and mix with the current fluid?

Is it best to do a complete flush with dropping the pan?

Is is the better to use Nissan ATF or Mobil 1 ATF?

Thank you in advance for everyone input.

yes

no, if you are going to synthetic, it is best to go all the way.

droping the pan will not give you a "complete flush", droping the pan is the
same as taking out the drain pan bolt

use any dextron 3 or greater brand of ATF , of course Nissan Matic D ATF is
the best to use

Thank you, NissTech.

I am going to drain the transmission fluid at the end of April.  I am
going to use Mobil 1 ATF.

No, drop the pan and put in a new filter too.

I have done that and had no ill effects.

BUT you may consider using a service that sucks out all the fluid and
replaces it. Theres still a LOT of fluid left in the convertor after you
drain the pan.

Thanks, Pete.

I hear of the service that sucks all the fluid out and replace it.  I
might check around for a shop with that sevice before doing the drain
with help of gravity.
