Tire Sizes and Wheel Sizes

I am looking several options for the next time I am changing my tires.

1. Keep the same size but replacing the OEM wheels with same size
2. Replacing the OEM wheels but use slight smaller tires (width being
smaller - not the diameter)
3. Going one size bigger

I have a 2001 Sentra SE 2.0.  It has 15-inch wheels and the optional
ABS.  I am more concern about keeping the correct pressure than the
speed reading on the speedometer.  I am concern about the ABS
affectiveness with changing from the original size.  Also, the
performance, as in cornering, is another concern.  Lastly, I am concern
about any change in fuel economy.

So, the first option is easy.

For the second option, it is called zero plus size.  I found the option
at www.tire.com.  The option call for the 185 instead of the 195 width.
I don't want to go to 205 width.  The tire thread life is low.

For the third option, I like to to go one size bigger to a 16-inch
wheel.  I don't know if 17-inch is a good idea.  I have the tendency to
hit pot holes.

Your input is appreciated.  Thanks everyone in advance.
