When my car is turned off it makes a clanking noise from where it appears
to be under the car more towards the driver side. But the noise eventually
goes away and i know this is common in a lot of cars.My question is what
is causing the noise and is it fixable where you can make the noise to go
away..I appreciate any and all comments and suggestions..Thanks !!!

I have a 2005 that does the same thing I believe it is caused by the
expandtion and contraction of metal parts, heat shields ect. due to heat in
the engine compartment.
