Does anyone happen to know how much the 6 cyl VG30 engine from my 86.5
SE-V6 king cab pick up weighs?

A long block (heads, cylinder block and bottom end) about 500 lbs.  Heads
are about 75 lbs each.

Wow. Isn't that the same weight as a small block Chevy?

That sounds high, I think the VG30DETT is around 500 lbs and it's MUCH
larger than the plain VG30.

I did not include the turbos or manifolds.  Turbos with manifolds are about
20 lbs each.  It's a cast iron block.  My estimate was with stock internals
(complete heads, crank, pan, mains, pistons, and c-rods, etc.)

I've had one of the heads off my 95 (to get to a broken exhaust stud) and I'd be
surprised if it was over 40 lbs.
