Well... I would do a little test. Turn on your hazards and note the
frequency of the lights flashing. Next, try the same experiment with
the alarm functioning (of course shut the regular hazards off first).
They will most likely not flash at the same rate of the regular
hazards. The next time the lights go wacky... which flash rate was it?
Alarm, regular hazards, or other? This could be a valuable clue in
isolating which circuit is involved.

It seems the blinking parallels fits the alarm, more so than the regular
hazard.

Well... next you should probably think about disabling the alarm... to
make sure that is the culprit. If the problem goes away after you
disable... then you need to pursue a fix for the alarm system.
