For some reason, it just starting doing this.  On the control for the fan,
there is 0-1-2-3-4.  Only 0 and 4 are working.  1-2-3 are not.  When the air
cond. button is pressed, and I turn to 1, I hear the air cond engage under
the hood, just no fan, not until 4.  Either it is off, or on full blast.  I
am not sure if there is some kind of relay or even where to start trouble
shooting, any help would be nice.  Hope someone can help, Don.....   Thanks
in advance.

The fault is with the fan motor resistor card, you dont say which car you
have but on the Primera this is behind the glove box next to the motor. two
screws hold it in place in the air duct. On the card are two thermal fuses
(look like lumps of solder) theses go dry joint so just clean them off and
resolder agross the gap.
