Just wondering about your thoughts on the 2005 Titan, I just purchased (new)
a 2005 LE with leather. I think its a great, beautiful, strong and powerful
vehicle... any additional thoughts?

Gas guzzler?

IMO, not a gas guzzler considering the payload and horsepower.  Clearly,
smaller vehicles burn less fuel and if they fit your needs are a less costly
alternative.

To learn a lot about the new Titans go to titantalk.com forums.

true. but othern that status or because you can afford them reason. do u
really need it?

Some folks actually need and use a pickup to do work.  Farming comes to
mind, then there are all the various types of contractors who load trucks
heavilly or tow heavy trailers.

Then, there are RVers who tow travel trailers and fifth wheel trailers all
over the country.  Many of them are in construction work and travel to
follow the demand for work.

Then, there are folks like me who tow a fishing boat and trailer.  I could
get by with less of a truck than the Titan but choose a Titan because it met
my practical requirements AS WELL AS my safety requirements.  How many
pickups do you know of that offer Vehicle Dynamic Control and side airbags.
I'd have been happy with a smaller more fuel efficient vehicle but could not
find one that met ALL my requirements except for the Titan.

Having said that, I love my Titan... it's just a great truck.

Dominic,

You are mistaken.  2004 Titans have had brake issues which are addressed by
a TSB which calls for replacement of rotors with a new more robust design.
Virtually all 2005 Titans have been built with the new rotors.

If you are interested in more factual information tune into the forums at
Titantalk.com.  The forums are dominated by owners and the information
provided to new and potential owners is outstanding.

Thanks.

Not in builds after Morch of 05.

Not on any Titan built before or after March 05 when the brake TSB has been
applied.  The TSB replaces the rotors and other critical parts.  TSB
application also eliminates the annoying problem of excessive brake dust on
the wheels.

If interested in the details visit titantalk.com forums.  Tons of info on
all aspects of Titan ownership available there.
