I have a 91 nissan nomad . The problem is that the fuel gauge works
incorrectly. After filling a full tank (65 liters) and just running
50-60 kms, the gauge reads half tank, and atter another 10-20 K the
gauge reads 1/4. I know it can use up to 14 liters of petrol for every
100 kms because I've tried filling up after every 100 kms. Any fix?

This vehicle may have a bad voltage regulator. I'm certainly not
famailiar with this exact vehicle but many autos use a small voltage
regulator on the rear of the instrument cluster to feed a certain
voltage (usually 6V) to varous gauges.

Same problem with '92 SE King Cab truck. Replaced regulator (which made
temp. gauge work again), but still read 1/2 to 1/4 tank low on gauge.

Coincidentally, in my case the regulator output I measured @ 8.06v. It is a
three terminal IC, so a good electronics store - soldering iron - and the
leads off the old regulator could save ~10 bucks.
