I've had this 88 stanza wagon.  I gave it to my daughter.  she tore it up.
It still runs,  but during the use of it, the front motor mount went out and
the stress on the exhaust broke the exhaust pipe from the manifold down.
They drove it around for a while like that.  Not much, because it made so
much noise that it attracted attention from the police.
All the body parts are good... It runs... though it's kinda' hard to tell
how well because it makes so much noise that I don't want to step on the
gas. (I drove it from their house to mine)
One day I was going down the rode and I noticed an '86 stanza wagon 4wd in
these people's driveway.  It appeared to be in fair shape, except the rear
window was broken out and covered in some opaque Plexiglas. (or something) I
thought maybe I could sell them the hatchback 'cause it was the same color.
I knocked on the door and started to ask and tell and the guy said "Why,
you wanna buy it?" He wanted $300.  Said the only thing wrong with it was
the fuel pump.  I thought "Hell... that might not be a bad idea!"  I could
take parts from the '88 and I would have a working Stanza wagon W/4wd.  WOW!
I really loved that stanza (The '88) but I got a new car and bla bla bla...
I bought it.
Now, I called about the fuel pumps Were they the same thing... would they
change out?
It turns out they weren't the same... The one in my original '88 was $89.00
and the one for the '86 4wd was $499.00.  I'm old... retired... I couldn't
afford the $300 for the
car.... "fools rush in... where wise men never go...
anyway..... I quit working  on cars around 1980. I have tools I have a jack,
but I just don't believe I have the knowlege to work on imports w/EFI...

NOW!  I'm wondering If possibly the car (the '88) might have a chance.
needs a motor mount... Needs the exhaust system from the manifold back...

After I wrote this I did a cylender pressure check on the '88 140 psi in
all four cylenders
I need a motor mount
