I want to replace the power antenna mast & cable on my '94
Pathfinder, but I can't get the old antenna mast out.
I followed instructions and loosened the collars around the
mast, then turned the radio on, but the antenna won't go up
(cable probably broken?). I can't even pull the mast out.
1) Any idea what'd holding that baby in?
2) Assuming I'll need to pull the motor to open it and remove
the broken cable inside, how do I access the motor?
Thanks.

i replaced my antanae on my 94 pathfinder this winter, you have to remove
the inner fender plastic shield and remove the bolt holding the antanae
assembly to the inside of the fender, super easy job, you also have to take
out the glove box and the metal piece behind the glove box to seperate the
cable halves, then feed the cable through the grommet in the inner fender,
email me if you have any questions at maverick50616REMOVE@mchsi.com

if yur just replacing the mast, you still have to unbolt the whole assembly
from the inner fender, then just a matter of taking the antanae motor apart
and replacing the mast

Thanks, Sly, I'll try that today. Because of the way Google Groups
filters email
addresses I can't read the address you put in your email, so if I run
into any
trouble (which has been known to happen!), I'll post it here.
