What do you guys think is the best way to change regular transmission
oil to synthetic ? Is it good idea to do so ? Any
advantages/disadvantages ? What problems it could cause ?

Please voice your oppinions :) I am sure many others can benifit from
reading this.

I am thinking about changing my ATF to Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil(2001
Sentra). Going to do a complete flush(through a shop). Question is, is
ATF synthetic oil also as detergent as synthetic motor oil (Mobil 1
brand for example) ?

If so, wouldn't sludge start coming off after certain period of driving
? Would it make sense to do a complete flush again after certain period
of time to get rid of some sludge ? And clean/wash filter, pan again ?

What do you guys think ? What is the best and proper way to convert to
synthetic ?

And again, what do you think is a good synthetic oil for tranny ?

I think it's a waste of money. The flush is a good idea and the
synthetic will do no harm. It's your money, so if it makes you feel
better go for it. I'm sure it has the same detergents as dyno ATF.
