I just recently purchased the above said truck. It currently has power
locks but it does not have keyless entry. I am looking into purchasing
and installing an aftermarket keyless entry system. Has anyone had any
experience installing such a system in this year or similar year truck?
I have never installed a keyless entry sytem, although it does not seem
like it would be very difficult. What is the best way to remove the
door panels, front and rear? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in
advance...

you dont need to remove the door panels at all, locate the wire that powers
the door locks and place the relay from the keyless entry inline

I assume that the best place to "tap" into this wire would be around
the fuse box? Do any of the Chilton type books offer a wiring diagram
that is color coded, identifying this wire?

an option would be to just pop off the window/lock plate on the door and
look at the color of the wire going to the lock, you shouldnt have any
trouble just popping up on the corner or edge of the plastic on the switch
plate, unless its alot different from a 94 pathfinder

actually a relay is not needed.

All that is needed is a keyless entry system that uses 12 volt negative
ground signal to unlock and a positive signal to lock.

Thanks to everyone that has responded. Does anyone have any experience
with the systems that are sold at JC Whitney? Looks like you can get a
kit for $39...Are they worth buying?

the main thing to remember when buying automotive parts is "you get what you
pay for"
