2002 Nissan Sentra Audio Problem

I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R that has an audio problem.  I have no left
side audio in my car (the right side is just fine).  I have tried adjusting
the left/right-front/back faders to no avail.  If I adjust the faders to
full left, and turn the volume up as high as it can go, I can barely hear
audio coming out of the left-side speakers.  However, when I push the
"AUDIO" button on the radio face, the beeping is heard evenly (meaning the
same volume) throughout all the speakers (both left and right), so I know
that the speakers are good (plus the car only has just under 15,000 miles
on it).  I have checked all fuses, and they are all good.  I don't want to
take my car to the shop, because I suspect that this may be a problem that
I can fix myself, however, I have no idea what the exact problem is
(faulty wiring somewhere, bad deck, whatever).  I just need to know what
the problem may be, and I can most likely fix it myself.  Any help would
be appreciated.

Sounds like you have lost the audio output device on the left channel.
The beep doesn't use that output device... that's why you hear it fine.
