My car has 51,000 miles
It is due for oil change. One day after filling up tank and driving the car
approx 60 miles, the "Service Engine Soon" Light came on and now the
car is idling rough. It doesn't stall, and once you drive it is fine only at
a
stop with the brake applied does it idle rough. There is no hesitation at
all. I got the car down to less than 1/4 tank. I put in  Chevron Techron
and filled with 10 1/2 gallons of Sunoco Ultra 93 octane.

What happened and what else can I check? I am presently trying to rule
out bad fuel. The car runs excellent otherwise. Please help!

You must extract the trouble code that has been set...

My 2001 Sentra also had that problem right around that mileage at 75,000 km.
It turned out to be the Mass Air Flow Sensor. That is a Can$620.00 job , at
the Nissan dealer

happened once to me at a brand name gas station in my old 96 GrandAM.  I
made sure the cap was closed properly (as per the manual)  and drove it
down to ~1/4 tank and filled up somehere else (same brand, different
station) and it went away.  Never happened again - and never went to
that staion again :)
