see.my.sig.4.addr@nowhere.com.invalid - 08 Jul 2005 16:06 GMT Dunno much yet, but saw one for sale the other day. Seemed to have everything I wanted except these 2 features. Anybody know what the 1st year they offered them (if they did)? I believe 96 was the 1st year and they have had airbags then and since, please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I know because I bought a 97 Nissan Truck in 2000 specifically because it was the latest model I could get without that ugly Frontier styling. Finally, the latest Frontiers look decent. I hope to get a used one next year. As far as airbags (or airbag) goes, my 97 has just driver's side, while my brother's 99 Frontier has driver and passenger side.

I SO agree about the ugliness of the first Frontier body! HIDEOUS front end! So no sides on the airbags period yet huh? :( Seems they think people who drive trucks don't care about safety. All the German sedans offer it, even VW. Took trucks an extra 2-3yrs to get them even on the driver side vs cars. Luckily, that's the only side I care about :) NO S.O. or rodents to ride around.
Do you know if the 97's offered leather or keyless entry (sometimes called factory alarm, but has auto-doorlocks)? If so, I now know I want 95-97! That helps in the search :)

Never saw a Frontier with leather seats. Leather in a pickup truck? The new Frontiers have keyless entry. If the truck you are looking at has power door locks, keyless is only a couple hundred bucks at a store that sells aftermarket alarms.

I still can't imagine why they stopped offering all vinyl/rubber floors in trucks. Now THAT really is a truck thing that many would want. Same with the doors, rr. wall, or ceiling. You just can't get it anymore.

True, but hope not to have the hassle. Also don't want my brand new (new to me) doors & dash messed with. Of course, I do know a pro.. still, better not to have to deal with.

I've seen a 2001 and a few other Frontiers with leather. One had the supercharged engine. Google it.

Never find what I'm looking for, or more usually find too much! Can't sift thru to get what I want to know. If they'd just allow REAL boolean logic or regular expressions I could find everything.
Didn't know any had a supercharger! I've always wanted that on a car. So much better than turbo IMO. Of course, best is both :) Better yet, 1 supercharger, 2 turbos for diff. rpm ranges!
So 2001.. when did the ugly front styling stop? Just this last year, or earlier.

When I research a used car that I'm looking to buy, I google something like "2002 Nissan Frontier" and it will find an archived review back when it was new. Sometimes they will list the options at the end. I tried the one above and it came up with some decent results on the 1st page. Sometimes you'll get a ton of spam webpages though, so I guess it varies. The research.cars.com link had all the options listed for every trim model.

Yeah, you can't run the 93 all the time.. wait a min., 93?! Where are you getting that?! I can only find 92 around here, and crap stations have 91!
>> So 2001.. when did the ugly front styling stop? >> Just this last year, or earlier. > >Do an image search on what I quoted above: http://images.google.com/ Forgot about that one. Just do one for 2001, 2002, etc. I guess. Can't believe I forgot that. Did it for a couple cellphones I couldn't find in stores to look at.
