When starting my Maxim, and if I put it in gear and go right
away it seems like it could use a little more choke. But
after it is warmed up about 2min it is just fine. Any
thoughts would be appreciated

Why do you say needs more choke? Are you getting a hesitation?

yes, it feels like I should pull the choke out a little
more.

I had a noisey TPS have that same effect. The problem was there all the
time but was more pronounced when the engine was cold. How many miles
on this car? If it's more that 70K... the TPS could stand to be
replaced.

P.S. Not all TPS problems will be caught by the computer. The computer
looks for values that are out of "range". The bad TPS I had was noisey
(electrically seen on oscilloscope) but tripped no code. After I opened
the failed unit I saw that the TPS wiper had worn the resistor ink
badly in the low-throttle area of the potentiometer. That's what was
causing erratic behavior to the fuel injectors.

Well... I certainly can't know for sure... but you might keep what I
said in mind.
