Just out of curiousity, I have a 2003 Sentra and was looking for the
fuel filter yesterday. I have a 97 200sx as well, and it's right
there! On my 2003 Sentra, I have yet to find the fuel filter. Anyone
clue me in? Thanks!
Regarding the original post, could it be bad gas/water in gas?

There is no fuel filter in the 2002 sentra. There is a part called a fuel
screen and it is located in the gas tank on the fuel pump. You will have
to pull the gas tank to get to it.

I did not know know that about a 2002 - pretty sure they had filters
around 1999. Wonder why because a screen doesn't help very much..
Goes to show you that one learns something new every day.

there *is* a fuel filter on the 2002 sentra. it is in the fuel tank, but you
get to it from under the rear seat. remember there is pressure even with the
car off, so if you're not familiar with this task it may be better for the
dealer/shop to do it.
