I make 41mph!!
Removed all nonesential weights from my 2004 Sentra, incl spare tire, one
seat, hood support bar (black/metal support to hold hoo dopen), all these
things nonessential to me - long story to explain, e.g. I bring support bar
when expecting service, I brin gtire only on longdistance trips as I am
3-year covered by roadside asst FREE and a very careful driver, never had
aflat, seat? I am single, or 2 people at most, da heck would I need 5
seating spaces? sunvisor?? My eyes dont suffer from a 10-15 minute blinding
sun i put hands i look down, i pray it goes away whatever
Dont save a buck on cheap petroleum oil, spend a bit more on a synthetic
AMSOIL (www.amsoil.com) and get at least 7.5K miles between drains, more
likely 25Kmile son their regular product (7.5K is th elowest but even THAT
is better than petroleum junk!!), get permanent oil from www.synlube.com
(170K mile oil!!)
SL rating, 0W30 in cold climate or at LEAST 5W30 if in hot climate
Use synthetic ATF/autotransmission liquid also from Amsoil
Dont drive like a raped ape accelerating and braking hard, never mind
honking behind, i have a couple of bumper and body stickers that mak epeople
just drag behind me without hinking, yes I am slow but guess what? I
memorized many traffic lights behavior here in NYC and can predict when Red
comes on and a minute later the driver behind me realizes the reason i am
not speeding... toeards another red light! hehehehehehe
Most drivers allow adrenaline control their accelerator. Most drivers carry
a ton of heavy junk in their trunk, etc all of which takes gas to propell
(accelerate)
I even cut my front license plates to a narrower shape to reduce aerodynamic
drag (it was extending down to overlap some holes into radiator , yes, SUCH
LITTLE DETAIL but you know what, from little details I created a suer
economic vehicle.
I even replaced Air filter with AFE (Advanced Flow Engineering)
washable/permanent filter that's UNLIKE fashionable but inferior K&N both
filters good and allows air flow increase while stock filters restrict air
and K&N is just too trasnparent leading to engine contamination/damage.
Morecolder air, more fuel efficiency
I AM MAKING 41mph!!! I am spending peanuts on gas, I dont care for stupid
SUV guzzler woes, the morons no tonly wast eTHEIR money - most important
they POLLUTE MY AIR, the ycause cancer, they destroy a=our economy and
strengthen our enemies (oil distatorships like Saudis and Venezuela)

think you mean 41 mpg (miles per gallon) not mph (miles per hour)

You are really going through a lot of misery to get up to 41mph. My Sentra,
with all original parts installed, gets 41mph everyday, and I didn't have to
trim license plates to get it!
You must really be proud to have an empty shell of a car that can go 41mph!
Meanwhile, my comfortable, efficient Sentra cruises at 55mph.
Hopefully, you'll buy a real car someday and be able to go faster than 41mph
(or at least move to somewhere where you can take advantage of
tailwinds...might be able to make it all the way up to 45mph with a good
strong tailwind).

41mpg, I suppose...
BTW - have you measured fuel consumption BEFORE making all these changes ?

im thinking it can go at around 38 mpg with all those things inside. best
way to conserve is smooth acelleration and constant speed below 70mph, so 65
is good.
