I hate to say it but agree with the other post: Your engine is most likely
blown.
It is often not worth rebuilding an engine by a mechanic because of the time
it will take as opposed to replacing it with a junk yard engine.
If it is a fairly new car, that may be a worthwhile option. If it is older,
you may want to think about junking the car (donate it so you can write if
off your taxes, perhaps) and replacing it.
I don't mean anything by this, but buy the "car maintenance for dummies"
book so that you can alleviate this problem on your next car. Learn to do
basic maintenance and learn to listen to your car.

i hope ur wrong too.....hahaha but i agree i will not replace the engine...
its a 97 nissan sentra...not worth the engine replacement!!!! but lets
still hope foe the best...i did drop it off we'll wait and see.....thank you

in my opinion, id find a decent mileage engine and a salvage yard and have
it installed, 97 isnt that old and if the car is in otherwise good shape, id
do it.

you should be able to find a decent used motor for around under $500.00 and
installed for around $200.00
