There's a triangular-shaped vertical surface, just in front of and left
of the spare tire. I installed the compressor there, facing toward the
rear. I had to remove the spare tire during the installation, but
afterwards, the compressor didn't interfere with the spare tire. The
compressor seems to be protected from splashing water there. I mounted
the gauge/switch at the bottom of the dash, above my right leg. It
doesn't interfere with my legs in that postion. I installed a Scrader
valve at the bottom edge of the rear bumper cover. It can't be seen
unless you get under the car, but if you know where it is, you can
easily reach it with an air hose. If the compressor ever fails, I can
still add or reduce pressure.
Since the installation, the Airlifts have been trouble-free for almost
4 years and about 30,000 miles of towing.
