I have an 83" Nissan ZX 2+2, 5 speed with T-tops that I need to sell.
I'd sincerely appreciate somebody giving me an honest opinion of what
it's worth and maybe the best way to sell it.

I've owned it for about 20 years and the body is all original with no
bondo but it needs paint and has a couple of spots of minor rust.  I
had it stripped and repainted in original color once but I didn't get
what I paid for. Milage is about 140,000.  Car has not been driven in
about 3 years but was running fine when last driven.

I spent about $2000 on the A/C and it never worked properly afterward.
Interior is not ripped, torn worn excessively but is showing its age.

Your help/advice appreciated.

Maybe $1000 or $1200

I agree, maybe $1000? These cars aren't very popular right now and sounds
like this one isn't cherry either. Don't say "it runs good" as almost any
280 is going to have a good running engine! If it was a 78 or earlier,
might be a different story.

Sorry, but it sounds like a junkyard candidate...
Especially after 3 years of not running it will be rusted inside-out...
It will require a lot of maintenance to bring it back to the road.

I went to the www.kbb.com to check the fair trade-in value, entered 1985
300ZX 2+2, 5speed V6 3liter (1983 was removed already) and I got the
trade-in value $213. Yeah, t hundred.  Yours is 2 years older... you do the math.

p.s. somebody here suggested $1000-2000 for this car
- I would sell this car to him in a blink of an eye if I were you :-)
BTW - I payed $1500 for my 1994 sentra in 2001
