2005 Frontier: Mileage for 2WD vs WD

After looking at Tacoma's and Frontier's I am trying to decide between
the XE 2WD or moving up to the SE 4WD and one of the main issues is the
pretty significant difference in mileage. Can anyone tell me what kind
of mileage they are getting in real life for either version?

Any other comments about the truck are also appreciated.

I have 8,000 miles on my 05 Frontier 4x4 Nismo. Right now I am getting 18
just putting around and 21 on the highway, 65 to 80 mph.
