Our 86 stanza wagon runs good cold and after it heats up it has no power at. Jerks and cuts out. We have changed about everything possible. Throttle position switch and even ecu. No change. No change. > Anyone have this same problem. if it has the throttle body EFI setup, might try the MAS on the side of the TB unit. Seen these cause those sorts of problem and never set a code. Check for cracks in the molded air hose that runs between the airflow sensor and the intake manifold, specifically at the root of the convolutions. > Our 86 stanza wagon runs good cold and after it heats up it has no > power at. I had this problem and replaced fuel filter and oxy sensor. Was about to replace spark plugs, but when I examined them the looked like new. So, when the car quit running I had it towed into a shop. They replaced the spark plugs and it has just run better and better. It seemed like it had carboned the cylinder heads to a point it was firing at wrong time and just quit. These take 8 plugs. Replace them all. |
