'91 Sentra E handbrake indicator light stays on. First noticed one
night when I released the handbrake (manual trans) and the light did
not go out for a few seconds. It later came back on as I came to a stop
then turned back off as I accelerated. I have already troubleshot the
switch, it is functioning fine. I have also traced the wire coming from
the switch up into the dash, but I can only trace it to a main harness
under the dash. From there it goes into a wire mold up to the cluster.
I have tried to pull the cluster to look for the short but I can not
get the cluster out of the dash. I have pulled of the bezel and
released the four screws but it will not pull out! HELP This is
irriating

It'll come on if you are low on brake fluid too, might want to check your
fluid level and/or wiring into the sensor in the reservior also.

Whadya know, looks like I'm low on brake fluid, odd though, had the car
a year and checked it regularly for a while, it never moved, but then
again i did replace my rear shoes and the pistons seemed to leak a lil
out as a moved them, btw is that normal...
