To start, I believe to have purchased a lemon. (which DOES happen)
unfortunately it happened to me.
Has anyone had any problems with the battery dying.
I have owned this vehicle for about 18 months, and am on my 5th battery
with no explanation from the dealer. Replaced Alternator, Replaced Fuel
Pump. They also Have removed the malfunctioned Stargaurd Security
system. Not to forget about a minimum of once a month the Flat Tire
Sensor DINGS at you.
and yes, my lawyer is fighting to get me a new vehicle, HOWEVER, in the
meantime, Im stuck with my fateful purchase.

I'm surprised you haven't complained about the squeaks and rattles they
have, not to mention all the recalls they have
Yes, the 04 Quests are truly pieces of SH*T !!!
get rid of it while you can , and whatever you do, don't buy another Quest.

Try posting problem at.

Concentration of Quest owners at at the villagerquest site. Maybe able
to
help you with the electrical problem.
Sounds like there is constant current drain on the battery, need to
isolate the source of the load. Will need a current meter installed in
the series with the battery. Remove fuses to isolate to a circuit.
Could
be a intermittant short in the harness, may need a closer inspection of
the
harness.
Good luck.

I think 04 Quests are typically lemons, with an occasional well-made
one. Fortunately I got a good one. Never had any battery/electrical
problems, or any other significant issues. But I have had some
interior things need replaced or adjusted.
As for the common door squeaks -- there was a horrible right sliding
door creaking, which turned out to be the seat. They did some
reinforcing welds on it and fixed it for good. The left sliding door
creaking was because of some long strip of rubber which came loose
inside the door seal, causing pressure on the rear of the door when it
closed. They extracted the strip of rubber and the creaking went away
-- they ordered a new door seal, hopefully one that is redesigned (?).
I bet all the sliding door squeaks are from this strip of rubber. Feel
for it in the door seal towards the rear. If it's there, cut a small
incision and remove it. The squeak will probably go away. I haven't
had a single squeak or rattle anywhere in the vehicle ever since. I've
actually heard more squeaks in the Toyota Sienna.
Other than that, I've been very pleased with my Quest. Several road
trips and good performance overall. Though if these 'minor' interior
things keep popping up I will consider trading it in for something else
before the warranty is up.
