In my 1994 Altima, it was behind the kick panel on the right hand side of
the passenger's footwell.. just ahead of the passenger's door. I had to pop
the plastic piece out, and peel back some foam to find it.
You might be able to pinpoint its location if you start the engine, release
the handbrake, and turn your headlights on and off. You should hear the
relays clicking on and off inside the module, wherever it is :)
Hope that helps!

Your suggestion spurred me to have another hard look inside the car and
I found it way up behind the fuse pannel on the drivers side firewall.
I wasn't sure that is what it was but I gave it a tap with a screw
driver handle to release any sticking relay and that did the trick.
Thank God, because it would have been a bugger to get out. If anyone
else has the same problem- it is black and looks exactly like the
front wiper module, which is on the firewall in the engine compartment.
Thanks for the help,
Dan
