I recently purchased a used 95 Pathfinder, I know these are know to be
underpowered but I am still curious as to how bad because mine seems
quite lacking. Is there a common tune up item that I can do to improve
this? Fuel Filters? Distributor? I don't want to just throw a ton of
money at this vehicles if possible. air filter / oil was recently
changed.
Also the fuel economy seems horrible, i get a little over 300km per
tank. What are other users getting? Could an 02 sensor solve booth
problems? it seems to run rich as i can smell gas in the exhaust.

TIA

I had a '95.  I didn't consider underpowered at all.  Traded it on an
'01.

You gas mileage is horrible. I was getting about 19 MPG on the
freeway, 16 around town.  You aren't even getting 16 KPG.
