Does a Frontier 2.4L have an exhaust manifold gasket? A muffler shop is putting a new exhaust manifold on my 98 frontier (4cyl. 4X4). They told me that the old manifold had NO gasket so they put the new one on without, and it leaks. So they told me they were going to keep it for an extra day and put a gasket on it. I bet the manifold cracked/broke between #2 and #3 - mine did. The replacement manifold was beefed up in that area. Mike That's exactly where mine cracked. When they showed it to me it was in two halves. Got it back and it's all fixed now.
