Hi Guys I'm thinking about buying a used Maxima. 3 or 4 years old.
Would you recommend the 2 litre or the 3 litre engine? (both V6) Any
advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Where (geographically) do they offer 2L Maxima?

If the V6 version has the VQ30DE, then I would vote for the V6! :)
(Not only from a power perspective, but overall the engine is
bullet-proof).

Cheers,
Nirav

Oops sorry! I live in Bangkok Thailand and it's called the Cefiro here
and both size V6 engines are available.

Thanks for your reply Nirav

In the Asian parts of the world you could get a Maxima with the VQ20DE,
VQ25DE, and the once almighty VQ30DE, all V6es. We Ameriacans were
spoiled with only one choice, the best choice:)
