Hi,

I have a engine stalling problem with my 2001 Pathfinder 4x4. It would
starts fine and runs fine. The stalling problem I would have is when it
is Park/Idle for a few minutes...the RPM dips below 1000 then bounces
back up then immediately after that it dies. This also happens when I'm
in Drive and at a stop sign. After hitting the brakes (after 30-60 secs
at a stop sign) the RPM would dip below 1000 then bounce back up above
1000 then dies. I tried replacing the air filter and oil but the
problem continues. Any ideas guys?

Thanks,

Ken

I had a similar problem.  I cleaned the throttle body out (and the butterfly
valve) with trottle body cleaner and the problem went away.  It gets a
little gunked up in there.  I think there's a tech bulletin on that too.
