97 nissian pu acts like its not getting gas

i have a 97 nissian frontier pu it acts like its ruuning out of gas but
this only happens when the engine is hot it does it sporatly some days it
runs just great does anyone have any ideas thanks

your air mass flow sensor and or door is defective and may be under
warranty due to recall... this thing lets the engine run for a minute
then shuts off the fuel as it falsely sends readings to the computer
another crappy nissan invention (aka chevrolet)

I had that problem with my 97 pickup also. It was the MAF sensor. BTW, if
you have a 97, then it is not called a Frontier.

Your fuel filter may be getting plugged up.  Oxygentated fuels will
pick up water in your tank and it won't pass through the filter.  Try
replacing it, or taking it out and draining it and blowing (careful not
to get gas in your mouth) in the reverse flow direction.  It's a cheap
easy fix to try before spending too much money on other things.
