Most repair shops won't "let" you bring them parts to install for you.
If you find one that will, you'll probably get "ripped off" anyway
because they usually mark up parts and they're not going to want to miss
out on that. I've got a '98 also and would most definitely try and do
the install myself. I've changed clutches in other types of vehicles and
wouldn't hesitate to try it again, especially since it's rear wheel
drive and can't be too hard. If you have any mechanical aptitude, a
floor jack and a good set of tools, go for it. If not, you at least
might know someone that could give you a hand. Make sure you have a
pilot tool to keep the clutch plate aligned in place while tightening
the pressure plate down. Also, tighten the bolts as if you were
tightening lug nuts... use a "star" pattern tightening sequence. Check
rear engine seal and throw-out bearing for wear or damage. Good luck.

Most places want to supply the parts so that they can also make their
mark-up on the parts, even though it may not be very much. When they
work out the time for the labour, they will probably tack on about 30
minutes to make up the difference. You will have no way to prove this.

As for the warranty, if something goes wrong, they will have no
responsibility for any of the work done, unless proven to be a fault of
their own. Many places will not use someone else's parts, because if
there are any faults, it can end up being in a battle about who's fault
it is.

I myself have worked in the TV service business. After using customer
supplied parts a number of times, I started to refuse any work if the
customer wanted to supply the parts. I did not want to be responsible
for the warranty for parts that I did not supply.

To answer your question,

On average you would pay anywhere between 3.5 to 5.0 hours labor time
multiplied by the shops labor rate .

You do realize there is NO warranty whatsoever when you supply the parts,
if you can even find someone who'll do the job that way. Most reputable
shops won't do the job unless you let them supply the parts.
