Personally, the 350z is simply amazing. A 300HP v6 engine with enough
torque to keep rival sports cars at bay. The VQ35DE engine has a lot of
potential, specially with forced induction applications.

the VQ35DE is actually not good for forced induction - you will have so
many reliability issues unless you do a rebuild and then you'll still
be taking it back to the shop more than you'd like to.

350Z? Not bad. G35 Coupe? Way way better.

When it comes to 350z vs g35, it's a simple question:

Performace vs Luxury

Personally, i'd rather drop the leather & rear seats for a chance to
experience the VQ in all its glory.

Granted, the 350Z is more of a track car than the G35C . . . . .from the
factory, but they are both street vehicles meant to strike a good
balance between a road going car and a track car. I think the G35C
strikes the better balance. With aftermarket support, the G35C can
become one helluva track vehicle. Also, there are those who say that the
350Z, with its shorter wheelbase, has a bit of a twitchy rear end
compared to the G35C.

Is it any wonder that the G35C is the Skyline in Japan, and that the
Skyline GTR coming to America, while looking like a beefed up 350Z, has
a longer wheelbase than the 350Z? This is not confirmed, but the
spyshots sem to suggest so, like this;

Just look at this thing of beauty that can tear up the asphalt and look
great doing it;

I'll take the G35C, thank you very much!:)

Guess I went for the best of all worlds - G35 Sedan 6MT.  Have ALL the
toys, can blow by most cars on the road today and still handles great in
the twisties.  Oh, and I can carry 4 in comfort! :)

I like that style better than the new ones. Last year, I had a chance to
buy a 78 280Z that looked as good as yours, but red. The car was parked
on the front lawn of a house down the street and the guy wanted $5000
for it. I couldn't convince my wife that we needed an extra car rather
than redoing the kitchen. :-)
I had to drive past it every day for a week, until it disappeared one day.

Man that's sweet. Very nice touch with the black rims, too. Is there
anything done to it under the hood? Turbo, SC? How much is it putting
down to the wheels? I gather it's a 5-speed stick?

Much prefer the 200SX S15 2+2 that was killed off so's not to piss on
the 350Z.  Adverts said "power to burn".
http://www.carecstasy.com/Car_Specifications/Nissan_S14_1999_R_Spec.htm
S15 had a dinky 2L 4pot turbo SR20DET, 5.6secs 0-60mph and 13.9 1/4
mile....against 5.8 and 14.1 for the 350Z.  In a word the 350Z is FAT
and a few more words Made for America.

Australia's 200SX S15 got a sad 198bhp like the S14 model before it.
New Zealand (200SX) and Japan (Silvia) got the full 250bhp.  Later
version of this engine SR20VET with inlet and exhaust variable valve
timing gave 280bhp in the X-trail GT.

But the best car Nissan ever made stayed in production from 1989 to
1998 and was killed off to make way for the S15.  It's the RS13
hatchback - Japan 180SX / NZ,Europe,SA 200SX / US 240SX.  It has the
same multilink rear suspension.  Fitted with the right engine a
CA18DET and properly tweaked to give 550 rwbhp it can chase an Aerial
Atom on a race track.

Only other cars it has to worry about cost $1,000,000.

Someone else thinks the right engine for 240SX is a toyota 2JZ.
