Hi,

I posted a query about my daughter's 200SX transmission a while ago and
someone replied that the problem could be the shift solenoids. Are these
accessible from the outside of the tranny or are they totally internal? Also
are there wires leading to these solenoids that might be broken or loose and
also accessible from the outside of the transmission?

Thanks - Pete

The solenoids are inside the transmission. There is a wire for each one
in one of the harnesses. I would get the factory service manual before
you try going down that road.

Thanks Jim,

I will try to find them on my wiring diagram. I am resigned to taking the
tranny apart anyway. I just thought I would eliminate all possibilities
before I did that.
