Just bought an '06 G35 2DR Coupe automatic with Intelligent Key package. I
very much want to install some type of remote start system. I was advised
at one shop that although a remote start can be installed, since I have the
Intelligent Key package, anyone could drive away my car if I remotely
started it.
With my prior autos, if someone tried to shift, accelerate, etc. the car
would turn off but I am being told that with my new setup those features
don't work. I am puzzled by this especially since the dealer was going to
install one for me for around $500.
Does anyone know if I am able to install a secure remote start with my
setup?

When I was at the dealer buying a new car, they strongly discouraged a
remote starter. Apparently, the cars are much easier to steal with
remote starters installed. Some insurance companies over here will
charge an extra premium on top of their regular rate if the car has a
remote starter.
