I've been driving a 2003 Acura RSX Type S since, well, 2003. It has
been a fantastic car and its very fun to drive, but I have been
thinking of upgrading to the 2006 G35 6MT Coupe. Basically its
everything my car is but faster, better looking, roomier, etc.. But
apparently the 0-60 is 5.7s, where my rsx is mid 6's. Is this worth it?
Am I going to feel a big difference? I test drove one and I could tell
there was tons of torque but the sales guy didnt want me revving it
over 4k rpm since it was in the break in period (a different dealership
said there wasnt a break in period at all, which is not true, it says
there is right in the users manual, I checked)

And the handling...is my RSX going to have better handling simply
because its smaller and lighter?

Is the G35 _vastly_ superior in every performance way? Or do I need to
spend more money? or what?

.....All this seems to lead to me getting a 350Z instead of the G35...

And I should say, lest I be flamed, that I was very impressed by the
G35 and it appears to be an excellent car, especially for $35k, which
is an AMAZING price.

Comparing the 0-60 time is only part of the story. The difference in
power between these 2 cars will become more apparent the faster they
go. Look at 1/4 times etc. As for handling, not to knock the G35, but
smaller/lighter is always better, so don't expect the G35C to handle
like the RSX-S. It wont, but it will be very sporty. Also, the 350Z
will handle marginally better than the G35C because of it's slightly
smaller wheelbase and lesser weight, but it's only 2 seats.

If I were you, I'd go for the G35C 6MT. It's a great car and it's got a
good aftermarket. Once you go move from VTEC car to a car that produces
copius amouts of  torque below 3000 RPM, you wont go back:)

Definantly agree with all the above.  I have driven both and now am a
proud owner of yep, you guessed it, a 350Z.  I LOVE it, the tourque is
AWSOME!  I may never go back to a VTEC car.
